When to clean the Zebra ZXP Series 3 and how to clean it
1. When to clean?
The printer should be cleaned if:
[1]Print quality has decreased.
[2] The LCD displays the CLEAN PRINTER message.
2. How to clean
Steps 1. Set the power switch to the ON ( | ) position, then press and hold the multi-function control button for 5 seconds.
Step 2. As the cleaning process begins, the LCD will display the message REMOVE RIBBON THEN CLOSE LID.
Step 3. After removing the ribbon and closing the cover, the message EMPTY FEEDER THEN CLOSE COVER will be displayed.

Step 5. After removing the ribbon and closing the lid, the firmware will eject all cards in the printer. The message EJECTING CARD will be displayed.
Step 6. The LCD will display the message FEED LONG CLEANING CARD. When a cleaning card is sensed, the rollers feed the cleaning card into the printer.
Step 7. When the cleaning process is complete, the printer will eject the cleaning card. If the card sensor still detects the cleaning card, the message REMOVE LONG CLEANING CARD will be displayed.
Step 8. The message INSERT FEEDER CLEANING CARD will be displayed when the eject card sensor no longer detects the long cleaning card. Open the feeder cover and insert the feeder cleaning card.
Step 9. When the feeder card sensor detects the feeder cleaning card, the message CLOSE FEEDER COVER will be displayed.
Step 10. When the feeder cleaning is complete, the message REMOVE FEEDER CLEANING CARD will be displayed.
Step 11. Once the card is removed, the LCD will display READY. You can now reload the ribbon and card and continue printing
